There is a small learning curve to applying Rootflage. After a few applications it will be a piece of cake!

  GET READY

  Protect counter and clothing with a towel. To open, pull black cap upwards (without twisting it). The brush has a sleeve protector that will slide up and down (slide it up when you want to help control the flow of the powder).

  Apply It

  Start towards the back of your hair. Hold dry OR damp hair flat exposing as many of your roots as you can. Start gently tapping and blending powder onto roots. As you get comfortable with how much powder you need start applying forward on your head.
  
  When you get close to your face, slide sleeve protector up, pull hair backwards away from face. To avoid getting powder on your gorgeous face, do not use the same tapping motion, instead gently press the brush on your roots and push brush backwards away from face. 
  
  If you want a more precise application you can unscrew the kabuki brush and use a detail brush, which can also be used on your eyebrows.

  Blend It

  If using a blonde shade, run your fingers through your scalp for a little extra blending (if necessary). Rootflage should seamlessly blend in with your hair color.
  If it is not blending you do not have the correct shade of Rootflage.

  If you are not seeing enough color payout, try putting a little product in your hair like a hair oil or serum to give Rootflage something to grab onto. 

  If you are applying Rootflage beyond your roots and down to the tips of your hair, put one hand underneath the hair you are applying to and tap powder in place until you see color deposit. Without lifting brush off of hair, blend powder in a downward motion or away from your face while continually tapping and blending until desired look is achieved. Get inspired, be creative!

  If you want a heavier application unscrew brush head and dip brush directly into the powder and apply to your hair. If powder gets on skin, clean with wet wipe or soap and warm water.

  Mist It

  Mist your hair with your favorite hair spray to set the powder to help avoid color transfer.

  When Done

  When putting Rootflage away, use the inner sleeve to protect the pink bristles when replacing the locking lid.

  Clean Up Tip

  If any unwanted powder gets on your skin, Rootflage washes off easily with a wet wipe or soap and water.
